What side effects can this medication cause?

Possible side effects from clavulanate include:

diarrhea
nausea
vomiting

Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

mild diarrhea, gas, stomach pain
nausea or vomiting
headache
skin rash or itching
white patches in your mouth or throat
vaginal yeast infection (itching or discharge)

If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

an allergic reaction (hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat)
diarrhea that is severe or lasts longer than 3 days


Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
